Polynesian Tattoo in Adelaide: A Visiting Artist, Limited November Dates
Amz, a Fijian tattoo artist from Newtown Sydney, brings custom Polynesian, Fijian and black and grey work to Adelaide for the last two weeks of November 2026. How it works, what it costs, and how to lock a date.

I get asked if I travel. For a long time the answer was no, because the work I do is built around the studio: the chair, the sterilisation, the conversations. But Adelaide keeps coming up, so for the last two weeks of November 2026 I am bringing the work to Adelaide for a limited run of sessions.
If you have been thinking about a Polynesian or Fijian piece, or a black and grey realism piece, and you are in Adelaide, this is how it works.
Who I am and what I do
I am Amz, a Fijian tattoo artist. My home studio is Memento Tattoo on King Street in Newtown, Sydney, a licensed studio, police and health inspected, with sterilisation that is tested rather than promised. Polynesian and Fijian work is the heart of what I do, alongside black and grey realism.
Every client who sits in my chair starts in exactly the same place, with a conversation. I do not keep a library of sleeves or half finished designs waiting for the next client. Every piece I create is designed specifically for the person wearing it.
Fijian, Samoan, Tongan, Maori-influenced and wider Polynesian work all get the same custom, consult-first treatment and the same honest pricing. If you want to understand the traditions before you commit, the guide I wrote on Polynesian tattooing is the honest starting point.
How the Adelaide sessions work
- Book a free consultation. Phone, video, or in person once I am in Adelaide. We talk through your idea, placement and sizing. No obligation.
- The design happens before the session. For Polynesian work I freehand to the body, mapping the piece to the limb so it flows with you rather than sitting on you like a sticker.
- A deposit holds your date. Sessions are limited to the two weeks I am there, so dates go once they are gone.
- Aftercare travels with you. Same guidance, same check-ins, same free touch-up window as my Sydney clients get.
What it costs
The same as it costs in Sydney, because the work is the same. Custom work runs at a $1,300 day rate and a deposit holds your date. Smaller pieces and staged work are quoted per piece. I wrote the full reasoning in how custom pieces are priced, including why a quote far under every licensed studio should prompt a very honest question about what is being skipped.
Why a visiting artist is worth considering
I will be straight about this. Adelaide has good tattoo artists. A local studio is always a reasonable choice. What a visiting run offers is something specific: a Fijian artist whose regular work is Polynesian freehand and custom cultural pieces, taking a small number of Adelaide clients with full studio standards behind the work. If that is the piece you have been waiting to get right, the November dates are for you.
If you would rather see the work before deciding, the portfolio is on this site, or grab the portfolio PDF and flip through it.
Locking a date
Dates are limited to the last two weeks of November and consults are already open. The free consultation costs nothing and locks nothing in. It is a conversation, and every piece I have ever been proud of started exactly there.
Book a free consultation and mention Adelaide in the notes, or just message the studio. Once the dates are full, they are full.
